Caught a Fathom Event (Castle in the Sky) early Sunday afternoon ( 8/27/17). The AC wasn't running in the theater that it was being shown in, so it was warm and muggy. I got the usual #1 combo, and about 25 minutes in to the movie I ran to the front for the free popcorn refill, but the concession lines were to the front doors. Decided the popcorn could wait and went back to the movie, came back 25 minutes later, lines still too long to wait. Came back 15 minutes later, and they weren't quite as long so decided to go for the refill, it took 20 minutes. Missed a lot of movie. I know it was a Sunday, but geez...In an industry where supposedly the only way to make money is from overpriced concession sales, you need to get it together. And turn on the AC far enough in advance to cool down the theater.
The show was awesome but the games were AWFUL. Half the machines were out of order & we wasted a lot of coins on machines that were not marked "out of order". Granddaughter was disappointed there were no games but shooting answer racing.
Oh my goodness they have pretzels! That is my thing..... when I go to the a movie I want a pretzel! That's the one thing that Icon cinema doesn't have.
Seats are cool. Had to leave 15 mins into Spiderman homecoming because the picture quality was so bad and dim it gave me a headache and eye strain.
