Today was the opening of the new store. It was busy and chaotic, as expected. The best part, no employee was frazzled, confused, or irritated....it was like a party or celebration. Apparently, HEB hires the cream of the crop, has excellent training and their PR Dept. is a cut above. Awesome job, you guys!!!
Im new to town and I just realized that the nicer HEB is just a block or two away. The difference is night and day. Only a few employees at this location can speak and understand english. Nothing is organized or even on the isle it should be. The gentleman in the meat dept. was knowledgeable and professional. Even the customer base is better at the other location. The Store is dirty and a lot of homeless people just hang out there. I had to keep good eyes on my purse several times. I had a hard time deciding wither to buy fresh vegetables or not..after seeing several of the customers dirty hands and runny noses rifling thru them Its clear that the only thing I kept thinking was you would have to bleach anything these people would touch so I decided to leave and err on the side of caution. On the way out of the store I saw what looked like a " pedophile" meeting by the bathrooms and had to stop and notify the manager as what I saw you cant post on this and be G RATED. Do not go here keep going. White trash store and customers..
HEB has food items I like. It is very close to my house. I always find my favorite beauty products also.
Despite significant competition from several new Walmart neighborhood market and even a remodeled Market street, HEB remains the best grocery store in San Angelo. They have the widest selection of goods, everything is organized logically, and if you can't find something, there are friendly associates everywhere ready to help. There are always plenty of registers open and the prices are great. Of particular note, HEB has consistently had the best produce in town for ten years and I've checked everywhere.
Fantastic, open,clean,and incredible employees. HEB is one of very few Grocery stores in the many places I have traveled to that the folks that work there genuinely have a smile on there face and are eager to assist you no matter how silly my question may be. With that being said you can count on HEB, that if they don't have a product they will bend over backwards to order it or tell you where you can get even if it's a competitor, in fact they will call and check so you don't waste gas driving all over town to get that last little item for that special dinner your preparing.Thank you HEB that grocery shopping for me is not a chore but a fun and exciting way to get the job done.
