The floral department is friendly and helpful. They helped with an order for several dozen roses, baby's breath and greenery and even loaned me a couple of buckets to use for transport and storage. I had contacted another similar vendor in town and they could only offer their floor inventory. I appreciated their willingness to help with a process that I wasn't familiar with and it all went smoothly.
Grocery side is pretty good, not as robust of a selection as HEB but they carry name brand and independent/high-end brands of most things. Their store brand stuff is pretty good as well. Their deli area is also solid. Large selection of specialty drinks and ready made foods that are perfect for people on the go. The only thing that they need to improve is their hot meals section and their sushi. The sushi quality is fine but the rice just tastes weird. The hot meals are nothing special (at times tasting like high school cafeteria quality) despite being prepared in a store that carries such high end ingredients.
They've got some items that you can't find anywhere else, but 3 stars because they inflate the prices of many of their basic items. Even things like dairy-free ice cream are $4 at HEB, but $8 here. (Yet somehow they still pay their employees less than HEB does.)
Very clean, well organized grocery store. Market Street has a great variety of healthy food options. Nice selection of prepared food. They also have a Starbucks inside, which makes one less errand to run. Especially happy with their service and promotions.
I only go if I'm looking for a specialty item or if I'm in a hurry and it's what's close.
I really like this store. I have been cashing my payroll checks here for the last few weeks with no problem. However, last night the worker told me she couldn't cash it because it was "hand signed". The check is computer generated. The only thing hand signed on it was my managers signature on the front. And of course mine on the back. When I told her this and that is been bringing the checks here she said there was a note on the register that no hand signed checks were allowed and that whoever had been cashing them shouldn't have been. Makes no sense. I ended up taking it to HEB and they cashed it no problem, but it was more expensive. Perhaps more clarification needs to be made to both customers and employees.
