It's been my experience that Better Business Bureau ratings have a lot more to do with the willingness of a business to follow BBB procedures than the question of whether they are actually ripping people off. The BBB is totally useless of you have been ripped off by someone who took your money and skipped town. They will refuse to take any action at all if they cannot find the location of a business to make contact with them.
My experiences with the Better Business Bureau have not been that good. They do provide a good service when warning people on television about commonly used scams. But they are not very helpful when you have already been ripped off.
Sears policy and warreanties are worthless
I would not recommend these appliances to anyone. As a matter of fact I don't recommend anyone every buying any of there appliances. These machines have more electrical problems and the parts are always back ordered because the appliances never work.
Some businesses have been hit with "F" grades because the BBB did not approve of the type of product or service they were offering, not because of fraud or bad intentions of the business. Others get "A+" grades when quite a few customers are very unhappy just because the business in question is following the procedures that the BBB wants them to follow.
So I just spoke with someone here at the BBB in San Angelo and basically I was told that it is ok that a local company can rip off a customer with no recourse hince file a complaint. So if you get an oil change that is standard of 300.00 for a semi and a local company that makes contribution to their local BBB can charge you 1000.00 for that oil change and get away with it. Beware of any company that has a sign in their business that says we are approved by the BBB. That simply means they paid off the BBB and the BBB can care less for the general public that gets screwed by that business. What ever happen to common decency? Common sense?
