Grace under pressure! Melissa and her staff were amazing. Everyone worked hard during the chaos of hurricane Harvey all with a smile on their faces. I did not hear one complaint. Our rooms were clean and everyone was so accommodating. I will return to this hotel again.
Well, Great on morning shift. Melissa went above and beyond to do her best to be helpful and meet my needs since I am now recently handicap and lost my right leg, she was to the best in the limitations of rules amazing & accommodating, nice with my request for late check out & then unfortunately 2nd shift not so much, it went back to the I'm going to guess 3pm to say after 9pm, don't recall names just alot of disturbing the door or phone very unhelpful n rude As if almost in a discriminatory way b\c she was dealing with a slow person who was in a wheelchair. OK so when I was online there was info not there I'm sure everyone has questions about, so I called the listed 800# and the lady whom confirmed our reservations was a doll and very helpful however by the time we reached the hotel she put it under the wrong name and mine is extremely hard to spell so we could have very well lost our reservation....
Clean and quite. Easy to find. Staff very helpful. A.C. worked fine. No smoking room a good thing.
Good morning everyone. Just wanted to share something with you. My wife and i helped one of my co workers and his family last night, we offered and did take care of there room etc. This is what i wanted to share. They are currently in the City of San Angelo, lost all of there belonging due to the hurricane and needed help from friends and family. After being on the road in a cramped car with his family (small children) and other friends family. My co-worker called me as we discussed earlier that day, for him to do so when he got tired of driving. We call the hotel La Quinta Inn And conference center and spoke to a Julie Carroll (from the very start of the conversation) was EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL not only to me and my wife over the phone, but to my co worker and his entire family in person. i explained he and his family were hurricane victims and lost everything etc. she did not care. Julie would not allow us to pay for a room. she wanted the credit card in hand. we made suggestions that would validate the information. still NO. Julie was asked to email the credit card authorization form, she claimed she could not and didn't have access to the hotels email. she could only fax it. WE DON'T HAVE A FAX!!!! We offered to email, text, video conference our drivers licenses etc and she continuously said NO, we asked to speak to a manager or for her to get authorization from a manager. She said there was no manager available he was stuck out on a cruise ship due to the hurricane GO FIGURE. i last told her are you seriously going to go out of your way not to help this family and small children? i told her i would be filing a complaint in the morning and she laughed at me and bid me a good evening and hung up. Cant believe the nerve of some people today. Well my co worker loaded back up his family and drove 3 miles down the street and was excepted with open arms from the employees from the Holiday Inn express and Suites. i explained our last experience and my co workers last experience and they were all to happy to help. We were sent the authorization forms in minutes and my co worker and his family were able to enjoy some comfort.THANK YOU MANDIE @ Holiday Inn express and Suites
We had held a room using their website and had no problems checking in whatsoever. Staff was very pleasant and answered all our questions, and pointed out our room. Our room was a king bed suite and was super roomy and clean and most importantly, comfortable. I love being able to have my animals with me also and appreciate the fact they are so friendly about it.
