Just a really great place to stay! Free breakfast, a decent pool, Walmart just across the road. Despite some very minor maintenance issues, our room was next to perfect.
We visit Angelo every other year to see our family, we consider this our place to stay!
Rooms were recently refreshed but the shower was forgotten. My family wore our flip flops while showering. They are pet friendly which is a plus. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you stay you get a free voucher for breakfast as Roxie's Diner located on property. I would pass and go pay for breakfast elsewhere.
With regard to the pool, I would like to see some of the bricks refurbished, since they are a little beat up and worn. Also, it would be nice to have at least a partial wall -- perhaps a block wall -- on the east side of the pool, the side that runs parallel to Jackson. This would be nice because it would not only allow a bit more privacy, but also help dampen the sound of road noise from the usually busy Jackson.
The staff is friendly, efficient and responsive.
This place was dated and the lighting was dim. The ironing board was broken. It's obviously a heavily used hotel, but I was totally satisfied. I rested well. They provide a coupon for a free breakfast to quaint restaurant next door. Use it, the place is great!!
Stayed here a few times. Nothing special, but nothing horrible either. Amenities and cleanliness about right for the price. Clean room, bathroom and fresh bed sheets. HBO channels and decent WIFI. Some rooms shower/toilet area could use some extra attention. Felt it necessary to use shower shoes one time and rolled towels shoved in cubbies are not as sanitary as hanging. Pillows not plush at all. Skipped breakfast as the diner fills up quick and I hear it's not that good.
I was trying to stay for super cheap and did not expect much for $ 62 a night but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are updated, very clean and had no odor. I would definitely stay here again. This is the best value you will find in San Angelo. I was afraid I was going to have to book through a site to get the best rate and I didn't. They gave me the best rate at the desk. The staff I encountered was exceptionally friendly. I wish I could have stayed for the free hot breakfast at the diner but I had to run. Highly recommend.
