I have been a loyal customer for over 6 years and I have over 130 stays in choice hotels this year. The new management is pathetic and I will never stay at this hotel again. When your sales are down remember this day, other customers will begin to notice your poor management and defect as well.
We booked the room via the internet. It was a good rate & had no problems with any of the transaction or checking in. The check in process was quick & the front desk service was wonderful. They were friendly, knowledgeable & prompt, even though one was training the other. Our room was very clean, cool & the bed was comfortable. The microwave & little fridge were clean & ready to use. My only complaint was I wished the room was colder but on the same note I do prefer a colder room than most people so it could be just fine for someone else.
Had two instances where people attempted to enter room due to a failure in their system showing my room was empty and others where given key cards to gain access Went to office to confront the issue with desk help on the first issue after a father and daughter walked into my room (10/14/17 8:02 pm). Twelve hours later house keeping beat on my door 3 Times then opened door creating a loud noise as security latch did its job interrupting my sleep at 8:00 am on Sunday morning 10/15/17. I got dressed went outside to confront the housekeepers, they said “oh sorry system shows nobody in that room”, so obviously the desk help did not fix issue after first incident. So once again I brought up the issue with staff while checking out, they acted like it wasn’t a big deal and left with a feeling I wasted my money and trust with Rodeway Inn of San Angelo Texas. Will I ever stay there again? Absolutely not, if it happens to you...........I told you so.
Each room I went to had small black beetles I spoke to management and they said this is usual for West Texas, disregarding that and another bug I found in the two other rooms I had to try to go to, it was a good place to sleep and the overnight guy at the front desk was polite and apologetic. The morning manager was a polite lady. I was not able to get any partial refund due to the constant switching between rooms, it was still better than other hotels or Inns I could have chose.
Nice big clean room. They don't go overboard on pillows and towels, but it was adequate. Breakfast same way. Clean breakfast area, too. Great value for budget conscious travelers. I'm a single female, and I felt safe staying here.
