Great food, but some of the servers are highly ill behaved and have an attitude problem. A rude response was handed down each time a polite request was made to the server - eg. "Can I please get a straw?" A simple request replied to with an arrogant face and sass, "Could you WAIT"... Servers at food trucks have better attitudes and are far more well mannered in comparison. When checking ID for drinks, the servers literally tossed back the ID to my mate like it was a playing card... Even MCDONALD'S HAS BETTER SERVICE than this place! Yet this place continues to charge astronomical prices for their food. What's worse is that you are forced to pay tip (gratuity is included) to these abhorrent servers and they DO NOT tell you that prior to seating.
The wait staff is very professional and polite. The head chef makes sure to greet each and every patron personally. The food is top notch. I ordered the half rack of lamb medium rare, and it was hands down the best lamb I have ever had, even better than Vic and Anthony's. I will absolutely be returning and recommending this place to friends.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience tonight! The chef made me the best curry dish in town and it wasn't even on the menu! When he came out to our table he was very nice and said he makes custom dishes all the time including vegetarian and vegan dishes. Highly recommend!
I am not going to lie the food is great and I would always come for lunch during high school because of the central discount. I just graduated high school so I can no longer get the central special, which is fine with me, but on the board it says $8 for a sandwich so when she rung me up it came out to be $9.75 , so I told her that the board says it is a different price. She seemed annoyed with my response and talked to me in a condescending tone. I decided I wasn't going to pay the extra $1.25 because of their rude attitude. I ended up getting the sandwich for the price that was on the board, but I knew that they were unhappy with me. I feel like I am not respected as I should be as a customer and that because I am a young adult I am not obliged to the same treatment as everyone else. Don't get me wrong their food is amazing, but their service could use a little work.
One of the best dining experience I have had! I am in military training for 6 months here at Goodfellow AFB, TX and I go here once a month for dinner. Peasant Village is ranked in the top 15 in the whole state of Texas! Jason the owner/chef not only knows how to prepare the most amazing meals but he also takes the time to come out and say hello to his customers. Amanda is always professional and friendly and does everything but cook the meals :) Highly recommend if you are a foodie and appreciate fine dining then you have to try Peasant Village if you are in San Angelo.
Ruins the mood and the atmosphere. Definitely not going here again simply due to this horrid service.
